From its origins at the beginning of the century, our company has evolved from the cultivation, marketing and extraction of aromatic plants to the manufacture of fruit derivatives and the synthesis of chemicals for the fragrance, food and pharmaceutical industries.

Our company dates from 1917 when Don Ramón Bordas Chinchurreta distilled Spanish aromatic plants and, in a tiny warehouse in the heart of Seville, began to shape what is now our family firm. From natural extracts and the processing of citrus fruits from the south of Spain to turpentine oil derivatives at first and other imported oils later on, BORDAS has combined the continuation of traditional techniques for distilling natural essential oils, a field in which it is one of Spain's largest producers, with the development of chemistry applied to industry.

Constant attention to our relationship with our customers as the basis of our business, and an innovating spirit in pursuit of quality and technological advancement have resulted in a family industrial group with more than 250 employees and 100,000 square metres of facilities, and with subsidiaries in the Americas and in Europe and commercial relationships with more than 65 countries.
